I really like the GP list from Shuhei Nakamura and Tomoharu Saito at the past Grand Prix, but it seemed a little confused on what it wanted to do, it look to try to be semi-fast but controlling but ran guys like Gouger, who while is hard to kill is definetly not controlling. So I've been tweaking around with the list all week and turned it into more of a control deck with the SB mostly concentrated against the Control match-ups as you should have little problem against Agggro. This might not necessarily be better, but here is my list, wondering what ya'll thought.

4 Mogg Fanatic
4 Magus of The Moon
4 Murderous Redcap
4 Demigod of Revenge

4 Coldsteel Heart

4 Incendiary Command

4 Skred
4 Incinerate
4 Flame Javelin

2 Scrying Sheets
22 Snow-Covered Mountain

SB

4 Pyroclasm
4 Avalanche Riders
4 Sulfur Elemental
3 Wild Ricochet

SB

Faeries

-4 Murderous Redcap -4 Incinerate / +4 Avalanche Riders +4 Sulfur Elemental

Elves

-3 Incendiary Command / +3 Wild Ricochet

Merfolk

-4 Flame Javelin / +4 Pyroclasm

5-Color Control

-4 Murderous Redcap -4 Incinerate -3 Incendiary Command/ +3 Wild Ricochet +4 Avalanche Riders +4 Sulfur Elemental

Reveillark

-4 Murderous Redcap -4 Incinerate -3 Incendiary Command/ +3 Wild Ricochet +4 Avalanche Riders +4 Sulfur Elemental

Note: The Wild Ricochet tech is Adrian Sullivan who was playing it at PT Hollywood in his Chevy Red deck. Wild Ricochet'n Primal Command / Cryptic Command is some good, and like he said, "heaven help them if the cast a Profane Command"

Can you provide us with there list for reference or at least a link too it if possible, I read some of the coverage about the deck and have a vague idea of whats in it I recall one of the two guys playing it in an interview saying he hated the gourger. I think you better off going more aggresive with tattermunge maniac and boggart ram gangs over gourger, I belive he suggested it need more one drops also so clearly there list wasnt that control orientated.

Also your sb stratergy seems a little odd in alot of matches you are taking out the commands and boarding in the avalance riders, two cards that should work well together vs control.

Vs the faeries I really dont think ld is a good stratergy vs faeries there curve is quite low for the number of lands they play. Also think you would be better off taking out skred than incinerate, as the ability to go to the dome vs Fae with blossom and all is really valueable.

Good points Trotsky, and I could see taking out the Skreds for sure as opposed to the Incinerates against Faeries and Probably Reveillark. Leaving them in against 5-Color is probably right though as it's your only way to take down Oona / Cloudthresher beats with just 1 card. I see your point the Commands but they are a turn slower and I just figured Magus (which command kills when blowing up Faerie tokens) + Av Riders was GG a lot of games and I was lookin to transform into more of an aggro deck against the control match-ups, since they're card draw/advantage is much greater than mine. But I could see leaving them in, any suggestions on what else to side out instead?

I don't think that Murderous Redcap is very good in this deck. Firstly, it is small and not very synergistic with anything else in the deck.

I think that Boggart Ram-Gang is a much more potent threat. That is what you really want your deck to do: kill stuff with spells and kill them with big creatures.

RDeg talkin about sideing it out against the control match-ups, which don't have Tarmogoyf. Leave it in for 5 Color and Big Mana match ups though.

Incendiary command is a horrible card and has no place in any deck. Even firespout is better in here. I'd play sulfurous blast and/or pyroclasm. Also play molten disaster vs. merfolk, its your only out vs. forge-tender. Additionally, I don't think this can beat faeries.

Well if he doesn't play incendiary command he sure as hell reduces his chances against faeries with it being such a nice board sweeper. I'd say your wrong in calling incendiary a bad card as I have found it very useful in my red decks. Also incendiary is really nice if you've got goyf because if it hits chances are you will be adding creature, sorcery, and land to the yard. And that's not even if you're discarding then drawing!

Because just like the old Big Red decks it uses cheap removal and mana producing artifacts to ramp into powerful cards. Pyrite Spellbomb+Talismans+Arc Slogger+Fireball / Incinerate +Coldsteel Heart+Demigod+Incendiary Command
