Custom card question

I'm sorry if there is already a thread on this, but I searched and found nothing...

Me and my friends made some goofy cards that we want to use just when we play each other. I've made 6 cards and I expect to make about 15 total. They're all made, but I cannot add them to my deck because it says self-made cards must be from compiled sets. I tried following a walkthrough of compiling custom cards, but it still doesn't work. If someone could tell me exactly how to just implement 15 cards or so into my deck I would really appreciate it.
