Peasant T2 Magic Deckbuilding Rules
Authorized cards
Decks may consist of at least sixty cards, containing:
* Cards from any set legal in the current T2 Format (RAV,CSP,TSB,10E)
* No more than five (5) uncommon cards. In Peasant Magic Tourneys that permit Sideboarding, these cards may be present either in the deck or in the sideboard.
* No rare cards.
* At least 55 common cards. (basic lands are common)
* There may be no more than four copies of any single card except basic land. Snow-covered land counts as a basic land.
* Either 0 or 15 cards sideboard
Cards with Different Rarities:
If a card is listed with two different rarities in two different editions, use the most recent rating for calculating rarity.
Mogg Fanatic was Uncommon last time it was printed (10th) so it's an uncommon
Loxodon Warhammer was a Rare last time it was printed (10th) so it's a Rare
Pendelhaven was Timeshifted last time, but Uncommon before that (Legends), so it counts as an Uncommon
Demolish was a Common last time it was printed (10th) so it counts as a Common.

Timeshifted rarity doesnt count.
Icatian javeliners were fallen empires last time they had a rarity so are common
Akroma, angel of wrath rare (legions)
Tormods crpyt common (chronicles)

| the rarity issue, wasn't it supposed to be "when a card ahs different rarities, the most common one is used"? that's how i learned the peasant rules. |

is peasant an official format backed by wizards?
I'd recommend upping the uncommon count to 8 so you have at least fully use 2 uncommon cards |

| Is this going to be the format for the Master? The news post on the home page says that ONLY common cards on legal. I have always played with the 5 uncommon rule. It would be very hard to build a deck that would be fun to play without the interactions from uncommon cards. One rare is also a great add to the format. It is a lot of fun to flop your one bomb rare on the table for the win! Having one rare per deck + sideboard total per deck is not bad at all. The amount of randomness it adds brings a lot of depth to the format. That's how every one plays in my group. |

You're mistaken in only one aspect - this is peasant. The Master's format is pauper.
Also, the definition of Standard is a little out of date... |
