Just wondering what everyone thinks about the cards that have been spoiled so far? Ive been checking the cards put up on ebay as a pre-order and saw cards like Cryptic Command going for around 40-60 dollars a playset. Anyone think it will actually be worth it? Its a nice card...but a little restrictive on the mana. But I guess U/b teachings could run a couple (doubt a playset) thanks to Tomb of Yawg. Oona's Prowler was going for around 20 bucks a playset. People talking about how its a specter for 1B. But today I have seen them sell for 10 bucks a playset. Maybe people realize that playing it turn two and letting your opponent drop a 5/5 Dodecapod at eot isn't a good thing? But other than that (or a Guerrilla Tactics) it does have potential. Just curious as to what people think are all around good cards, etc.

people overreact. all those cards are overpriced right now. wait a month or two to see how playable they are.

and why would oona's prowler be a specter or why would it allow people to play dodecapods, for that matter? I mean, why'd you side in dodecapods if your opponent plays a oona's prowler?

also, i'm not sure if that would work out.

Oona's Prowler
1B
Creature - Faerie Rogue
Flying
Discard a card: Oona's Prowler gets -2/-0 until end of turn. Any player may play this ability.
3/1

Its a 3/1 flier for 1B. If your opponent discards a card to take less damage then its like a hypnotic specter (well not hypnotic, but one of the crappy hypnotics)- Take 1 and discard a card. Or just take 3.

As for the Dodecapod, I am not sure if it works. But if your opponent drops a Prowler second turn, and at eot, you activate the Prowler to give it -2/-0 and discard a Dodecapod wouldn't it be a "spell or ability" your opponent CONTROLS? I understand you would be choosing to discard, but your opponent is the one who controls the Prowler which let you discard the Pod. As with Guerrilla Tactics.

Not to mention ANY player can play the ability, so you have a discard outlet (Tarmogoyf?) and a cheap beatstick. Not to mention if your opponent doesn't have any cards in hand, its just a beatstick.

The player playing the abilitiy is the controller of it. So you won't be able to get a Dodecapod/Quagnoth/Metrognomes cheated this way.
