Okay, I posted the U/R Izzet deck list a little while ago, and people started catching onto the deck and it started losing, so here is the deck with white splashed in for control. (I have 4 lightning angels coming in the mail, so they wont be in the deck list yet.)

Seriously though, if you want to start a real discussion, you should probably pull up a standard angelfire list and discuss how you modified it, so people can argue over card choices. |

This deck doesn't look too shabby.
My advice is this:
-2 Bros Signet
+1 Izzet Signet
+1 Azorius Signet
You need the blue mana on the signets.
I would also advise pain lands/shock lands over the bounce lands. 6 of them can get to be a hindrance.
-4 Think Twice
+4 Compulsive Research
-1 Niv Mizzet, the Firemind
+1 Numot, the Devastator
With 3 Mizzets, you get them more often, but it's better to have an alternate win condition that cripples your opponent.
-2 Overrule
+2 Logic Knot/Spell Burst (depending on how fast you ramp mana)
Against burn decks, Overrule can be useful, but most burn decks have a mana currve of about 4. A Helix will get you the life you need.
Remand, Spell Snare, and Runesnag would be great for control.
If you keep the blinks in the deck, Venser would be helpful (though I don't see blink being very useful over Remand or Rune Snag except with Whelk)
I can't stay much longer. xD School's in a few minutes. This is an interesting deck. I'm looking forward to testing out your version of it later. I had the same idea for this deck for a while, but I never got around to it.
As for your Sideboard:
-2 Ophidian Eye
-4 Izzet Guildmage
+4 Dodecapod
+2 Molten Disaster
All of this advice is based purely on looking at the deck. o.o I haven't had the chance to see how it works without my changes. I'll repost later if I find anything that could be improved. |

What, exactly, is it you use the blinks for?
Except for Draining Whelks, the only thing I can see that the Momentary Blinks do, is to save a creature from targeted removal spells. The Court Hussars lets you look at top three before dying.
Blinking the Whelks is nice enough, a couple of blinks in your hand and a Whelk on the board is as good as a light lock. But there is so much that needs to go in your direction before that is even going to happen. First you need to go to 6 mana and if you don't got one of the two Whelks in there in hand, you need to cast Mystical Teachings at end of one turn and wait for the next turn in order to use it. This is probably the second or third use of Teachings, since the first one or two will invariably be for a Teferi.
In other words: you sit with one or two dead cards in hand for half the game before you can use it, and if you play the first Whelk, you have probably already won the game, since at this stage he is normally either quite big or opponent has no answer. My opinion is that the Blinks are overkill in this deck. It doesn't change the direction of the game, it strengthens your position once you are in control!
Instead take out the Blinks and the Overrules, and add cards that helps you get control in the first place. This metagame (surely after Lorwyn as well) is an aggro metagame, and your board control options are insufficient. |

| can the blinks, maybe only use 2 tef(board the third), why no black mana splash?, add delay/rune snag/remand x4 and condemn could help |

Okay, I am going to try and respond to everyone in this one message.
I forgot to put these cards in the deck list, so add these to the list
Numot the Devastator = 1
Condemn = 2 (I will be uping these when I get more)
I am also going to add lightning helix once I get them as well.
I added the momentary blink mostly for the draining whelk because of the flashback ability, but these will probably be taking out once I get delay's added to the deck.
And as for the adding black mana, I had enough trouble adding the white mana and trying to get the right ammount of each, that I really didn't want to add a 4th mana to the set as well.
So to sum up, the cards I will be adding to the deck are:
Lightning helix = 4
Delay = 4
Lightning angel = 4
Condemn = 2
I will probably drop Niv Mizzet and the momentary blinks for these cards.
So, with those cards on the way, what does everyone think? |

I say if that was your plan this whole time, just netdeck angelfire and get it over with.
And Remand is a hell of a lot better than Delay. |

We don't give a shit which cards you have and which you don't. We only care what cards should be in the deck.
Next time, post the deck you want to make, get advice, follow those of them you like - and _then_ get the cards for the deck. Posting inferior replacement cards here is a waste of time and will only cause you to be flamed and/or misunderstood. |

This was the deck I wanted to make, the cards I said I was going to add once I got them, lightning helix, delay, etc. were from looking at the ideas from peoples posts, and adding them then, only I don't have them. I was simply adding the cards to the list, to see what people thought of the deck then. |

I will try to help you fix your mana-base.
24 lands
10 Island
2 Flagstones of Trokair
4 Sacred Foundry
2 Hallowed Fountain

... now your mana is constructed so that all the colour-fixing is towards Red-White, while the vast majority is Blue. Also, low quality lands like New Benalia and the overabundancy of "bounce-lands, which are impeding tempo, are dealt with.
I have a few suggestions about your deck, though:
What I think you are trying to achieve is a mix between the well-known UR control, UW control and URW angelfire decks. To do so, I think you need to pick the strongest points of all those three decks and make them function as a whole.
UR and URW decks are manaramping so that high-power and high-cc spells like Bogardan Hellkite, Demonfire and Numot can win the game. UW control's best feature is the strong defence and high number of counters, coupled with life-gain and hard-to-deal-with win conditions like Sacred Mesa.
What if you made the deck look something like this:
24 land
10 Island
2 Dreadship Reef
4 Sacred Foundry
2 Battlefield Forge
2 Hallowed Fountain
1 Urza's Factory
2 Forbidding Wathtower
1 Faerie Conclave
5 non-creature permanents
3 Boros Signet
