The topic of this post really says it all, is there a cohesive strategy in there somewhere? With all the one-ofs, consistence is out of the question. Think of what you want the deck to actually do. Do want a controllish deck that finishes with big creatures? Do you want a mana-excell deck that's capable of putting out huge creatures fast? This deck vaguely resembles a bunch of T2 staples, but without committing to one strategy -- a very bad thing.
I'm not saying that this deck is bad, it just needs some focus. |

I disagree, except for a couple odd card choices, I think the deck is pretty focused, assuming the focus is on mystical teachings. In the maindeck, I don't think you need true believer, demonic collusion, infernal tutor, blink, rites of flourishing, or the lone crucible. Since it's four colors, I would suggest bumping up the coalition relic count to 4, maybe puttin in 1 more prismatic lens. Also, I think this deck needs wrath/damnation in it because I don't see it doing very well against aggro decks. Putting your hierarch count to 4 will also help the aggro match. I think you need to focus your mana base more. Instead of putting 2 of every dual you need in, find out which colors you need more and toy with the mana base accordingly, especially since you have sylvan scrying you can tutor for whatever land you need. Some card choices I think you might want to think about are mystic snake, tarmogoyf (duh), castigate, compulsive research, RAV block signets, etc. It's a tough choice because since ur playin 4 colors, there are so many powerful cards that you would want to put in. |
