Let's say I have a creature in play with a prison term on it.
I play Myocoloth.
If I devour the creature with the prison term, will my oppenent get to stick the term onto my mycoloth? |

| And to explain why, creatures are devoured as the creature comes into play (during the resolution of the creature spell). So by the time it is done resolving and in play, the creature with Prison Term is already in the graveyard. SBE's then get checked and put the Prison Term in the graveyard for not being attached to anything, before its trigger can even goes on the stack. |

Actually, the Prison Term ability does trigger. It will just fail to do anything because Prison Term itself is put into its owner's graveyard when State-Based Effects are checked and is no longer around when the ability resolves.
Not that it's really important, since I can't think of anything relevant that would happen on it's ability triggering, just clarifying. |
