The problem with the untap ability is it does not tap the card (so you can not do what veldoforner suggested) if it did it would be alot better. If rdw and fae remain the top decks in std i can not see him having an impact there, same with block constructed but a little more chance.

I think it is decent. Can't say much without any testing, or seeing what else is in the set. Its effectively an Icy Manipulator every turn (although it can't tap down Akroma AoW or Oversoul) but works better in the fact that the target may NEVER untap again, your turn or theirs. The Lightning Helix...well, you can't complain. The last ability- who ever used the last ability of a plainswalker anyway? Competetively.

I could def see this in a WUR tempo deck. Ramp in to Wrath of God on turn three then play him on on four tap something or Helix a guy. Counter or play removal the following turns then blow up the lands that THEY control. Then you pretty much win in any way that you see fit.

It's a shame that Lightning Angel is leaving Standard.

You could maybe even play a creatureless control deck with him and other stuff for the win.

I dpn't see how this is bad in constructed. As long as you have a little more disruption, this card is ridiculous tempo control.

Please note that although you could never expect to use the -7 ability in a game, the fact of the matter is control are forced to deal with it because if they don't that ability is happening and ending their game. They are forced to deal with it -1 land too.

Whether or not it sees play i dunno, but this card is anything but crap if you need some control of game tempo
