ive been having lots of success with this deck for a while now. it loses to fae fairly often and i even lost to a teachings deck today, which was kinda embarassing, but with almost everyone playing agro decks like RDW, fae isnt running as rampant as before EVE came out.

i suppose i could sprinkle green or red for vexing shusher, but that kind of ruins it for endless horizons, which is an awesome way to gain a card advantage for MWC btw.
i also thought about razormane masticore for the fae matchup but they'd just counter it or target it with a sower. it would work well with endless horizons though! |

I'm not a big fan of Endless Horizons and multiple copies become dead cards, so I think the number can be safely lowered to 2. This will give you two slots for another Crovax and a Sacred Mesa. I also find that you have too many win conditions here.
MWC shouldn't really play more than 3-5 win conditions and you can be sure that you'll last long enough to find those thanks to Martyr of Sands. The ones I would keep are 2 Crovax and 2 Divinity of Pride. This should give you enough space to put in a playset of Condemn (very useful against Demigod of Revenge) and a set of Thunder Totems for accel. Also, I don't think set of Mutavaults would hurt the deck too much.

What about that gain ten life and get a 5/5 if you have more life than your opponent or something. Costs 4ww...I dunno.
Seems like a bit of mana fixing and some primal command toolboxing might be good, but that's just what I think. |

| 4 endless horizons = 3 dead draws, but it also eliminates 20 dead land draws while still enabling you to get lands. i can live with that and so should u!!!!!! |

I disagree with the 3-5 win conditions thing. Even MWC w/martyr can't wait around for something to happen after it has gained control of the board. And the fewer win conditions in a deck, the less chance it has to win against counter-based decks, and there are a lot of them around, not just Faeries: Merfolk, GU aggrocontrol, Zur, MUC. Ux control and aggrocontrol just kill this deck and the only way monowhite can deal with that is to have more threats.
I think his creature base is fine, but I would play even more win conditions in there.
However, I agree with you with the 4 Endless Horizons argument. 4 is too many even though, as bagina pointed out, cutting 15-16+ plains out of the deck outweighs the dead draws the 3 others would generate. It is too many because it is very unlikely you will get to play it before you have control of the board, and by the time you can play it (when you have 5 mana, EH and a Condemn - turn 7?) it is actually quite likely that you have 2 EH in hand - and THAT is more than a wasted draw: it can be a game-deciding bad draw! |

| By removing the beacon and 3x horizons you have removed 4 of your shuffle effects. Doing this greatly reduces the utility of the Mistveil recursion. |

I was just thinking, Plumeveil is a great aggro stomper for the sideboard, or even maindeck.
After further testing, I see that my 3-5 win conditions isn't as good as I thought. The format is much more control defined than I thought it was. The list I tried out has:
2 Divinity of Pride
4 Thunder Totem
4 Mutavault
1 Oversoul of Dusk
1 Crovax, Ascendant Hero
1 Sacred Mesa
1 Spectral Procession (3 in sideboard for Faeries)
2 Feudkiller's Verdict
4 Kitchen Finks
Those are pretty much the threats, plus 4 Martyrs. Once Divinity comes down, the game pretty quickly most of the time. Verdict is a sometimes hit, sometimes miss thing, but the life swing, even if you don't get the token out of it, is still pretty important and can pull you out of tight spots. I also considered Platinum Angel as a 1-of, but I'm not sure what to cut or just to put her in as the 61st card... |

I ran MWC at states 06 with a full set of Thunder totems. They just never seemed as good as I wanted them to be.
They don't accelerate into Wrath. They are horrible defenders early. You have to sit there with 1WWW open just to have a possibility of blocking. That's a terrible position to put yourself into, ESPECIALLY in a deck full of sorcery speed action. Late game they are infinatly slow at putting your opponent on a clock.
The suggestion earlier of using mindstone is much cleaner.
As you are only running one color of lands you can afford your artifact mana to tap for something other than "W". |

i like to play endless horizons turn 4 unless i have to wog, even if it brings me from say 15 life down to 8 or something. which cuts out 19-21 plains depending on my hand. and from there on in every single draw is useful (minus the 3 other endless). so aprx 9/10 draws are helpful.
with endless in play early i can have an akroma by turn 8 if i draw it.
ideally i drop a finks for defense or a story circle on turn 3, and a horizons on turn 4. then by turn 5 assuming by story circle doesnt get o ringed, im set for mana for the game, and im fairly safe from damage. the longer the game goes the more endless horizons helps me.
i do have one question though. if i play endless horizons turn 4, and on my opps turn he O rings endless horizons, can iplay a 2nd endless horizons to get back my lands, or am i stuck rotting with 4-5 lands for the entire game? i knwo the card says "removed with endless horizons" but im not sure. because that could prove to be a major drawback |

All cards that reference their own name, read as "This".
EX:
When Endless Horizons comes into play, search your library for any number of Plains cards and remove them from the game. Then shuffle your library.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put a card you own removed from the game with Endless Horizons into your hand.
Reads as:
When "This" comes into play, search your library for any number of Plains cards and remove them from the game. Then shuffle your library.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put a card you own removed from the game with "This" into your hand.
A second Horizon would only be able to see cards IT removes from the game. |

Which is why you should play Endless Horizons only AFTER you have stopped dropping lands every turn- at 5-6 lands. And then you don't need 4. Play 2 copies - it is a great mid-late game card, and having it in your hand early does absolutely nothing!
Of course, against mono black, mono red or b/r feel free to play it turn 3 if you can. That is a great move when there is no risk of it being dealt with.
Maindeck, White has Oblivion Ring and green has Primal Command. Blue has Venser and Cryptic Command. Those are bad news vs your Endless Horizon turn 3-4. |

with 5 lands in play the only cards it would really impact anyways are akroma, sacred mesa and possibly story circle. so its really still not a huge risk but i see what youre saying.
i might consider cutting it to 3, but i'd still like to draw one in the first 15-20 cards.
idyllic tutor might be an option but it would slow me down vs agro type decks which might cause a GL |
