Hello everyone. This is my first post here at Magic-League. You've got a great site going on here and I love reading all of the information! Ok, anyway, down to business. I've constructed a deck that I think will be good for Type 2 play post-Eventide (my first Type 2 deck). I would like your guys' opinions on it and suggestions for cards to replace within it.

It's pretty much all creatures as it is supposed to be a Gw Elf Stompyish aggro deck. Thanks in advance! Here is the decklist:

>>Mainboard (60):
>Creatures (36):
3x Nettle Sentinel
4x Llanowar Elves
2x Elvish Hexhunter
4x Wren's Run Vanquisher
4x Talara's Battalion
2x Safehold Elite
4x Elvish Champion
4x Yavimaya Dryad
3x Wilt-Leaf Cavaliers
2x Imperious Perfect
4x Wilt-Leaf Liege

>Spells (4):
4x Might of Old Krosa

>Land (20):
20x Forest

>>Sideboard (15):
3x Wheel of Sun and Moon
3x Krosan Grip
3x Avoid Fate
3x Raking Canopy
3x Gaea's Herald

Oh noes, I can't believe it. You forgot the most important card in GW.

Try to find out what it is... Wink

and 20 lands is too few. Add more, including Treetop Villages

Eh? I've thought about putting in more land, but each and every playtest I've done with this deck I've yet to get manascrewed, plus having the Llanowar elves helps some. How much more mana would you suggest? And about the Treetop Village cards, I would use them, but it makes Apes and not elves...I'd rather have a 1G elf in place of it. Though the fact that it produces G is nice, it comes into play tapped and I need that mana drop every turn for the first 3 turns...

Search. My only clue is that its GW. Mr. Green

Now that I've noticed, Elvish Champion doesn't really do anything.

-4 Elvish Champion
-4 Yavimaya Dryad
+2 Imperious Perfect
+2 Treetop Village
+4 (Secret Card)

I don't know which is better: Might of Old Krosa or Barkshell Blessing, or neither of them. That's up to you.
I've been testing a good GW Elf Stompy list for some time now. If you're interested, pm me.

The Elvish Champions are there to be used with the Yavimaya Dryads. Give all my elves forestwalk and give the opponent a forest. I consider it a good strategy.

I'll go look for whatever this GW card you seem to think is so good, lol.

Edit: Did you mean Glittering Wish or possibly Mystic Enforcer? Mystic Enforcer won't go well in this deck (as it doesn't really generate a graveyard...)

Oversoul of Dusk?

Shield of the Oversoul?

Gaddock Teeg?

Saffi Eriksdotter?

Keep listing every GW playable and eventually you'll find whatever he thinks is this "secret card".

Haha, of course. However, Shield of the Oversoul isn't that good of a card. While it's awesome to use, I think I'd rather drop another creature for that 3. However a turn 3 Shield of the Oversoul is a decent protection against WoG/Damnation.

This is a great card, but it costs 3WG, for 5 total. That's quite a lot of mana. By the time I can do that I can drop 2 other creatures instead. Hm...give me examples on how this is really useful and I think I might use it.

I'm still not sure what he considers this "secret card" to be, as none of the cards listed so far are overly epic good, in my opinion.

Kitchen Finks is cool, I had it in the decklist previously. However, the fact that it isn't an Elf just bugs the heck out of me. Granted I'd get 4 life out of it and it comes back after a WoG/Damnation, but it's not an Elf >_< The Liege gives it a lot of love, though. What cards would you guys suggest taking out for 3x (or 4x?) of them?

I already have 4 of them in the deck, thanks for noticing. But on a related note, Wilt-Leaf Liege is an awesome card.
