I think it might be useful to say what Sanity Grid is going to look like and what cards you think of combining it with.

I think maybe with silly cards like Ghastlord of the Fugue, Memory Punder, Cryptic Command, etc. you see where this is going. Jank.dec? Oh well, the list would be fun, but difficult to make playable in any format. Draw-go style, maybe but not enough removal to be viable. I'll still wait for the rest of the spoiler to make a decision.

Because milling not only has the opportunity to deck the opponent, but to stop them from being able to even get cards in their hand to play. It's kind of a "get them before they even get a chance to do anything" tactic. It's effective if done right Very Happy

I like milling because it is an unusual and often unexpected win condition. It requires a style of game play that is quite different than the usual.

Milling does nothing until the opponent have no cards in his library. Before then, putting cards from the top of his library into his graveyard is being done at random, and hitting a key card, answer or threat is therefore based purely on luck. There is not a fragment of disruption involved in milling.

but under the same situation topdecking a threat is just as random and luckbased if not more so vs mill.

and i am not saying bild a full on mill deck i am saying using it as a support - alternate win condition. what deck would it go into.. cause we all know focused mill is very slow. but merfolk mill.dec idk.

Extirpate and cards like it both "mill" and disrupt. There are also quite a few cards that interact with an opponents graveyard in other ways.
