| Maybe it would be good if you had a default sound configuration but it could be changed with our own sound files. |

that will be the case.
If you check out how the application of PokerStars does it, you will get an idea of how it will be, because i am 'stealing' that |

I think its a good idea to have a sound for when you go below 1 life for the first time. It should be a bit longer, like 2 seconds orso.
But is it also a good idea to have a sound for when your opponent goes below 1 life? Maybe a cheer? |

| From a practical point of view, it would be great to have sounds for key actions (such as drawing or shuffling) the reason for this is that on mws players (I am going along with what I do here but hopefully there are others) tend to use a lot of the crl-space commands to switch phases and often go on sound when drawing cards and such (so a sequance from the beginning of turn would be ctrl-enter, ctrl-u, ctrl-space, ctrl-scape, ctral-d, ctral-space) I get used to the sounds made by the program and oftentimes if I don't hear a sound it means there has been a misclick (such as a card not being drawn) not having these sounds may lead to issues where you skip a step due to mis clicks or possible repeat an action without realizing it. In essence the point of this rambling on is to say that the sounds on MWS should be used as a model to shown WHEN sounds are needed. The type of sounds are up to you |

Ok, I figured that would be the case.
So what I'll do is install mws and check out the sound settings there, maybe steal some .wav files from there as well
I'll probably want to synchronize the shortcut keys as well, so players can make the switch easier (if at all)
I was going to make the sounds and settings part of the theme, but it seems more wise to put these settings in the global config file that is independent from the loaded theme.
That way people can switch to a (someone else's) theme, without needing to worry about the sound settins being changed. |
