I added Alara to my sets, I have the Magic game pack installed, I used a text spoiler to install the Alara set. But when I try to build a deck including cards from Alara, MWS refuses to acknowledge my deck and when I try to connect, it asks me to load a deck. What can I do? Thanks in advance.

Try to reinstall Mws on your pc with a different directory, then just open the slightly masterbase on it. It worked fine for me...

You have to extract the files to your mws folder. That's very important, otherwise, mws doesn't recognize any sets. Had the same problem 2.

When you extract the masterbase from slightlymagic.net to your MWS folder, dont forget to extract the data folder with the DAT file "Sets" in it too. Before i did that MWS didnt recognize alara cards, after it did. Wink

If you are running vista you might have a problem with folder permissions. Try extracting the Master.mwBase file to your documents folder, then in MWS File?Open Libraries navigate to where you extracted that file, and select it.

I added the masterbase and put it in the data file along with the sets file from the masterbase. It tells me i need to decompile the set first. How can i do that?

thanks Jlobes. that worked for me. don't know why copying over the old one didn't work, but this is a fine work around.

okay, not really. lets me see the cards, but i cant' actually play a game with a deck containing them.
